Snowblind by Christopher Golden

"They live in the storm, but it’s not just any storm. They exist in a kind of endless blizzard that is somehow its own place, a kind of frozen limbo. When it snows anywhere, this other, unnatural storm overlaps with our world.”

THEY???

Snowblind by Christopher Golden

Small town, snowy weather, ice monsters!!

Snowblind is what I like to call a slow burning-page turner. I read it in two days and did not want to put it down.

If you like constant action from the beginning to the end, this book is not going to give you that. There are only two big action scenes. The storm in the beginning and the storm at the end. This didn’t bother me because as long as there’s movement and the characters aren’t bland, I’m a happy reader.

Within the first 2-3 chapters, we meet multiple characters and at first it may seem like a lot but there is nothing to worry about because the author doesn’t let you forget who’s who.

I love witnessing a big event happen to multiple characters at the same time. Especially apocalyptic books. Snowblind isn’t apocalptic but if they don’t destroy these monsters, it very well could be.

Snowblind was my first book by this author and it was published in 2014. I read a couple of his newer books but they haven’t given me what I got from Snowblind.

I’m looking forward to reading some of his older books!

If you’ve read Christopher Golden, let’s chat about it!
